Wisconsin Court Interpreter Rates
Subject to change without notice
Updated Rates as of 5/1/24
(1) $300 per session for cases scheduled between 8:00AM- 12:00PM (Session 1) or 1:00-5:00PM (Session 2)
(2) *Evidentiary Motions, Contested Divorces, Injunction Hearings, Hearings of 30 minutes or more where 2 parties require interpretation or when more than 4 assignments are scheduled. i.e “Spanish Day” are billed at the trial rate of $650 for EACH block.
(3) Court & Jury Trials $650/per day billed in full days only (8 hours MAX)
(4) *$120 one-off (not pre scheduled) zoom or remote appearance. Max 15 minutes.
(5) Depositions $750 per AM or PM Session, $1500 full day. (No travel/mile fees within SE Wisconsin)
(6) Travel Time at $75/r and .62. per mile
(7) No fee cancellation if cancelled with at least 7 business day notice.
Billing Terms & Conditions
All assignments are accepted based on availability. As an independent interpreter serving multiple jurisdictions, I may be scheduled to appear in different counties on the same day.
Each invoice is independent and pertains solely to services requested by the respective county or agency. Invoices are not issued in conjunction with, or influenced by, work performed for any other jurisdiction.
Invoices reflect the request for service and are not based on time spent on the record. Charges apply regardless of whether the proceeding was canceled, adjourned, conducted off the record, or if the interpreter was ultimately waived.
